We are grateful to be working with Utah Humanities to create a histories project for the Sanpete Valley. This project is being created in conjunction with our larger Sanpete Valley project, which you can read about here.
This grant will support an innovative application of the Popwalk app. We will be gathering personal and family history stories from residents of Sanpete. These stories will focus on events and places in the valley that have shaped the people, the landscape, and the towns. Those stories will then be uploaded to be viewed on the Popwalk app. The stories will stand as landmarks for the everyday events and people that have shaped the valley and to assist visitors and residents to appreciate the history that is all around.
